The healing and nutritional values of sesame seeds/oils

The seeds are excellent sources of lecithin. Lecithin is a fatty substance

that helps to prevent the build-up of cholesterol in the human body. Also,

it is an excellent substance that helps in preventing many skin problems -

such as skin dryness, eczema, psoriasis, etc.

Because of the high content of niacin, a vitamin that helps in preventing

the peripherial nerve damage common among diabetic patients chewing up to 6

teaspoons of roasted or slightly toasted sesame seeds daily is usually

recommended to the diabetic patients.
