Guest guest
Fish Oil works for me with joint stiffness - and pretty rapidly as well. None of the others you mention, have I noticed anything when taking them - but I'll keep taking them anyway. From: Stillsdisease [mailto:Stillsdisease ] On Behalf Of MLH951@... Sent: 11 February 2008 19:51 To: Stillsdisease Subject: Supplements? Let me start out by saying I have an appointment on Thursday and will be clearing this all with my RA first but I have been contemplating taking some supplements and was curious if any one has any experience good or bad with things like Fish Oil, Glucosamine & Condrotion (sp?), Calcium & Extra Vitamin C. Really anything that might help with the effects of Stills. I don't want to start any trouble and was only looking for first hand experience with any of the above mentioned and will be doing more research and of course getting the ok from my doc before moving forward! Guest guest
Mandi: It's EXTREMELY important that you talk with your RA first but I've taken Malic Acid and Magnesium. It was recommended for the fibromyalgia and it helped a great deal with sleep and discomfort (not from Stills), it also may have helped relieve some of the headaches. Fish oil is always recommended since it's good for so many things. I've even tried Bee Pollen (there was some sort of study on that in England supposedly) but didn't notice any difference except a slight elevation in my energy but it was short lived. My chiropractor just told me about Boswellia for joint swelling but I know nothing about it nor if it mixes with other drugs good or bad. Good luck with the doctor, honey. Take care and be well.
