Through the help and support of friends and family, Tara is teaching at home. She has taken the goals that have been set for , and compiled a wonderful resource book of all the great ideas that she is using to reach these goals with her son. The ideas in this book are not only for children with Asperger's Syndrome or other learning disabilities; rather, these ideas can be used and incorporated into any home learning environment. Tara has broken the book down into chapters, with each chapter focusing on a different area of development; these include: •Development of hand/arm muscles, fine motor skills & gross motor skills •Information processing & auditory processing •Language skills & communication •Matching patterns & visualization discrimination •Readiness skills •Recognize facial expressions •Socialization •Speech therapy •Sensory Input •More Educational Fun Each of these chapters includes many activities for mastering these skills. Tara lists each activity, gives a material list for the activity, and shares how she used the activity in her teaching. The back of the book includes some appendices with a master materials list, fun recipes, and a reference list. If you're teaching a special needs child and need some ideas or you're looking for fun ideas to share with your preschooler, I'd highly recommend this book.
