what a christmas present for hannah

I think its been coming for a couple of days, but this morning she got

her period. she is 14, so i guess i can be glad it waited this long and

not some crazy age like 10. We had talked to her about it, and at

school, her aid has helped talking and showing her what pads look like

etc.........she took it all remarkably well. I showed her how to do

everything, we went shopping. she later said she wanted to

change...........so, so far, so good. I now need to tell her that

sometimes she may get a tummy ache, and sometimes, she may need to go to

the bathroom, even if she doesn't feel like going to

check............school will be a big thing. I bought her a little bag,

and i said this is where we will keep some spares, and when she goes to

the toilet, at those times, she can take it with

her....phew..............i have been dreading this day for so

long.......but.....lets just see how we go. []
