I had my MRI yesterday. Apparently they were concentrating on my right kidney,

which seemed strange because I asked the doctor if this mass I have is in or on

an organ. Guess it's just near.

Anyway, the lady said my doc would have the results today and my husband is

wanting to know have I called them yet??? No, sweetie, remember I have an appt

next week to get the results? He doesn't care, he wants to know NOW.

I am also a bit melancholy today as my son is now officially an active duty

soldier for the United States Army. Sworn in this morning, awaiting a plane at

this moment in Louisville to zip him off to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO for Basic

Training. I am ready to let him go, but like any other mother, worry about him.

I am very proud that he has chosen to serve his country. Please keep him in

your prayers in the coming weeks.

My 16 yr old daughter is heading into her 8th month of pregnancy. Bless her

heart, she was already a whiner by nature, she is now beginning to really feel

the burden of this (physically). She is still attending high school until her

doc pulls her out, then a teacher will be coming to the house a couple times a

week to help her finish up her junior year.

Big life changes happening here. As my girlfriend says, " Grow your toenails

long, girl, and hang on! "

LOL......

Goodness Gail...I'm afriad I'd be like your husband! having to wait

until next week might give me heart failure! :-)

Let us know the results, fingers crossed it's nothing major. As

always, thinking of you and your family.

Gail, I was wondering how the MRI turned out. I'd want to call the Dr too...but

I imagine that if it were anything too bad, they'd be calling you.

Still....maybe give them 'til tomorrow.

I salute your son....just wanted you to know that up front. I've been

there and done that and have no regrets (mentally) as I was proud to have

served and believe everyone should, but that's just me.

I am praying for you, and hope this turns out to be of no major concern.

I had to have a few things removed, with the scariest being a large lump on

my left pectoral. I never heard of breast cancer in men, but found out when

I was 23 or 24 that it was possible. Thankfully it turned out to be benign,

and that was that. May yours be the same!

So, your going to be a grandparent......I hope you can enjoy it......I

must admit having my sons is probably the one reason I try to get as far as

I can with my Dr's... hoping for an answer or solution. I've been blessed

with 2 sons that I'd never trade in for anything in the world, and I thank

God for that every chance I get.

May things in your life begin to go " right " again!!!! We're all here for

you.

Have a good one, Kirk.

Good morning Gail! I like your girlfriend's saying, that's pretty

cool. Do you think she'll mind if I use that from time to time?

You're in my prayers darling. And by the way, doctors don't tell you

squat until they have the written or printed results from the doctor

that has to read the test(s). I must admit it's annoying to have to

wait the week, but they have to make sure they read the results

correctly and will check them quite a few times before diagnosis.

The only reason I know this is a very good friend of ours from Temple

is a Nuclear Medicine Radiologist. He actually started his

schooling and became a PhD Nuclear Physist (sorry about the spelling)

but was bored by it. So back to school he went.

OK, it's early for me, been up since 4 a.m., I'm rambling.

Sounds to me as though your children are strong individuals and they

have you to thank for that. Yes, you're husband was definately a

part of that but mostly you, you've been a fantastic example for them!

Take care and be well.

Larry darling, I seem to be a bit behind the times and emails here and

I apologize. I'm so glad you know enough to ask for copies of things,

it's incredibly important! I'm waiting with bated breath to find out

what your doctors think but I wouldn't put too much stock in the one

that thinks we have the same thing as RA (not too bright). Sorry

about the prednisone being so high but if it makes things better for

you...I won't preach to the choir, don't worry. I'm certainly not one

to talk.

Thank you for the update, you're in my thoughts and prayers, honey.

Just take it easy and heal.

Take care and be well.

Ellen
