Hi Iris..they do believe all the cancer was contained in the nodule.

Her bone scan, cat scans & pet scan were clear. She gets another round

of those in November. Thank you for your prayers.

Jan, Iris, Stacey...

I'm reading all these stories and I'm just in shock. I cannot even fathom

what would come over an adult to perpetuate such behavior on an innocent

child. I think I tend to see the world through " rose colored glasses " and

consider all people fundamentally good. I guess with some people that's

just not true.

I'm so sorry each of you and your family had to come in contact with such

evil. Jan and Iris, I'm so sorry about your daughters. Stacey, I'm sorry

you've had to go through this with Wyatt, but I'm glad it wasn't worse. I'

m sure after reading these experiences, you're that much more convinced that

your decision was wise.

Iris: Thank your for your kind words again. The doctor has put me on

Trazadone to take at night and has been upped to 1 1/2 tabs. She says there

are virtually no side effects. So far it's not doing the job that Elavil

did but I'd rather work with it and get rid of the terrible things that

Elavil caused.

I don't think you are overprotecting on your children. We cannot do enough

for them. I may have saved my younger daughter but was not able to save my

older one. A " friend " of the family, a trusted family " friend " did a number

on her when she was 7 and she did not tell me until she was 14. The family

friend was murdered by a girlfriend and I was called to vouch for his

character in court. When I told my daughter, that the court had called me

to tell me that the defense was going to bring it up that he had molested

his two daughters and they wanted me to be prepared to hear it. I had had

no idea but was more concerned with the fact that the girlfriend had

murdered him. She broke into tears and told me he had messed with her and

threatened her that he'd kill all of us if she told. I called the DA's

office back and told them to forget it, that there was not going to be any

way that I would testify for the character of a man that had molested my

daughter. They did not press for any more testimony from me. When the

younger one was three, I ws seeing a man with two kids just older than my

oldest. My alert system was just engaging as I got to know him and

discovered he really didn't like women. His son could do no wrong and his

favorite name for his daughter was " meathead " and was not said in nice way.

He would always poke her in the chest to get his point across to her. One

evening, we were all watching TV with the kids on the floor. The kids were

been a little rambunctous when suddenly he sprang up from the chair and

grabbed my little one by the arm and yanked her up. I thought her arm would

come out of the socket. I jumped up, grabbed her, and told the other one

that we were leaving. I never looked back. Years later, my older daughter

told me that his daughter told her that he took showers with his kids - 11

and 12 year olds. If I had known then what I know now, he would have been

reported.

There I've climbed on my soapbox again. Someone give me a push when I get

started again - ok? I hope you have a good night. It's almost 11 and I

really need to get some sleep tonight after 2 nights of hardly any. Hugs,
