Iris: Thank your for your kind words again. The doctor has put me on Trazadone

to take at night and has been upped to 1 1/2 tabs. She says there are virtually

no side effects. So far it's not doing the job that Elavil did but I'd rather

work with it and get rid of the terrible things that Elavil caused.

I don't think you are overprotecting on your children. We cannot do enough for

them. I may have saved my younger daughter but was not able to save my older

one. A " friend " of the family, a trusted family " friend " did a number on her

when she was 7 and she did not tell me until she was 14. The family friend was

murdered by a girlfriend and I was called to vouch for his character in court.

When I told my daughter, that the court had called me to tell me that the

defense was going to bring it up that he had molested his two daughters and they

wanted me to be prepared to hear it. I had had no idea but was more concerned

with the fact that the girlfriend had murdered him. She broke into tears and

told me he had messed with her and threatened her that he'd kill all of us if

she told. I called the DA's office back and told them to forget it, that there

was not going to be any way that I would testify for the character of a man that

had molested my daughter. They did not press for any more testimony from me.

When the younger one was three, I ws seeing a man with two kids just older than

my oldest. My alert system was just engaging as I got to know him and

discovered he really didn't like women. His son could do no wrong and his

favorite name for his daughter was " meathead " and was not said in nice way. He

would always poke her in the chest to get his point across to her. One evening,

we were all watching TV with the kids on the floor. The kids were been a little

rambunctous when suddenly he sprang up from the chair and grabbed my little one

by the arm and yanked her up. I thought her arm would come out of the socket.

I jumped up, grabbed her, and told the other one that we were leaving. I never

looked back. Years later, my older daughter told me that his daughter told her

that he took showers with his kids - 11 and 12 year olds. If I had known then

what I know now, he would have been reported.

There I've climbed on my soapbox again. Someone give me a push when I get

started again - ok? I hope you have a good night. It's almost 11 and I really

need to get some sleep tonight after 2 nights of hardly any. Hugs, prayers,

My rose colored glasses get darker every time I turn on the news.

These stories are shocking and I am so sorry that it happened.

Crimes against children are the most disgusting and there should be no

mercy on their perpetrator, nor should there every be a second chance.

To many sex offenders continue to abuse.

Stacey I am so glad you didn¹t stay quiet. I know it was very difficult.

You¹d feel bad if you found out he went on to abuse others. You are

A very strong woman and a great mother.
