Guest guest
If you haven't already joined, I would have to say the files section of Dr. McCandless' LDN group: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism_LDN/?yguid=37912255 Ugh....spent the night in the ER with . She had a high fever and was vomiting a lot and had neck and head pain. They had to do a lumbar puncture spinal tap to rule out bacterial meningitis and that was no fun at all! Fortunately she has the viral version and while that's no fun either, it's not dangerous. Just like a really bad flu with a terrible headache and stiff neck. She's sleeping a lot and not eating, but should feel better soon. > > , where is THE place to begin researching LDN and autism? > > Thanks, > > Penny > >

Guest guest
Thanks Debi. She was better for a couple of days, but had a bit of a relapse today. More vomiting and she slept for 22 hours! That's like a week's worth of sleep for her. She also looks like a skeleton now since she is thin to begin with and has an incredibly high metabolism and needs at least 3-4 thousand calories a day, and she hasn't eaten in over 4 days now. I'm glad she's resting though because she obviously needs it. > , I just now read this, I'm so very sorry. Guest guest
It's scary when they get like that. I have a pic of Allie laying in her bed sick and she looks so emaciated with her rib cage sticking up and her stomach so sunken. I hope the sleep is a good sign she's in the home stretch. When my kids start getting better they always sleep for a very long time then wake up recovered. Of course, while they are sleeping all that time I'm panicking that they are in a coma, on death's door, etc. Debi
Guest guest
Debi many people tell of me that I to look like death rolled over..... not sure what that means but you shared a phrase that had of the death words to it too. ' Much tell of me I to also look like a toxic human dump when I to be of sick because the dark rings get very black and the face very pale and white and the skin very dry and the voice of me is of much shaky and different when of recovering as my missy shares I to sound like a much old granny person/ I to also be of very inattentive and stare out as in a day dream trance like state. But if one takes of me to the ER then I to be of given IV things and even though I to hate them and they cause of me such panic the whole body tends to react as if hyperventilating and shakes strongly as in shock sorts of things. most think I to be of severely chilling during that IV things but then most also share that after an IV I to be of more connected than ever. they share I to be of more attentive than my natural states, my language is of more clear and my thinking is of more clear. Even among family members the eye to eye is of more noted for a day or two after the IV so not know of why that is of that way but this is of what others tell of me. i to know for some of us on the spectrum we tend to be of forget of to eat, and or drink and so for this tend to stay in dehydrated states. which is of not a good things to be in but for self unaware of it or doing it to self over and over. also this is of not good if one is of to have of autoimmune issues. sondra
