Hi Michele,

Can you please tell me where I can purchase the daily living picture cards?

My dd is 8.5 y.o. old & I still have to brush her teeth & bathe her. I also

wash her hair but it is very long (below her bottom).

She was dx'd with PDD-NOS with ADD but the dr also said that her dx may

change to high functioning Asperger's.

to answer your question we use a picture schedule for routine and it works

well. we been using the same system for about 4 yrs and in time it gets

better for my girl to understand what she has to do and when. our set up is

for the whole day now . i can slip in something new every now and then and

she doesnt care.

her school also uses pictures schedule for routine and had no problems there

either. the whole system works really well if there is a few picture cards

of what the the child likes and you get a better result quicker.

with the independent living the school have a section set aside and they

teach the kids set things. and at home if my girl wants to try something or

do something new i just stand back and watch now and over time she ask for

help.
