Guest guest
So am I understanding my current and new herdshare managers correctly -- raw milk can be legally delivered in Ohio? Is this a change, or was I misunderstanding the law? I thought my farmers could only provide milk for pickup at the farm. I am in the process of switching herdshares (not because I'm unhappy with my current herdshare -- they're great, but they've become much bigger than they really want to be for their own sakes and they're a 1.5 hour round trip, so when a new herdshare started up and offered a dropoff point a few miles from my house, I decided to switch) and one of the draws of this new herdshare was that I could avoid the long drive. They're in contact with WAPF and Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, so I assume they know what they can and can't do. But I had thought Ohio farmers couldn't offer a delivery service on their herdshares? This new herdshare, btw, is the second here in the Cincinnati area and the first that's at all convenient to the east side of town, and from what I'm hearing people are snapping up shares.
