Guest guest
Hi ! What a cutie!! I read your earlier post too...don't worry, in a couple weeks her band will be almost like a part of her! I remember after Evan had worn his for a while, I really thought he looked funny without it!! The time flew by and before we knew it he was done! And will probably be done quicker since she is starting so early! Yeah for you! Are you going to the Chicago CT? Where in Wisconsin are you? (Just wondered, we are in Chicago suburbs) Take care of that sweet banded baby! :0) - Evan's mom DOC grad 06/01 > Here is a picture of my little and her new band! > ~ > Wisconsin > USA
Guest guest
, Thanks! I am sure that I will get used to the band, it just seems so awkward to me now:) I live in West Bend just north of Milwaukee. I take to a place called Ozaukee Therapy Serices in Mequon just southeast of us. They have been very kind and helpful. ~ 's Mom WI USA

Guest guest
I would take him with me to your next SLC appt and have them take a look. > > Hello Everyone! I know it has been a long time since I have posted anything. I have a few questions that I know you guys will be able to help me with. My new little baby, , is starting to feel a little crooked. He is developing the same rib hump as his big brother, and this was about the age we found 's curve, 4 months. I am not to concerned with going and getting him checked and x-rayed yet because I know that there is not much they can do for him this young. I am wandering what all of you would do in my situation. > > Beth Rettinger > Mother to > 4th cast from SLC >
Guest guest
Beth Gosh, I am sorry that your younger son is now showing signs of Scoli, I know it must be frustrating and feel "never ending" to you. But at least you are well informed and a pro and know what to do next. If it were ME, I would at least make an appt with your Ped and consult with her/him, then email/call your current casting doc/or nurse. I am not sure if they cast this young, but at least you can get xrays and mri finished and then just wait until he is old enough for casting. Keep us posted on what you decide. Guest guest
Hi Beth, I absolutely know how you feel. Have Dr D check his back the next time you go in for . He'll know what to do. If you won't see Dr D soon enough...I'd take to your ped for an x-ray and then send it to Dr D. I don't think 4 months is too young to treat. Dr D found Mariella's scoli when she was 6 months old and he was going to make her a brace ASAP if she progressed at all. Guest guest
I am so sorry. Our second is due in 2 months and I have thought a lot about this situation. I would call my ortho who does our Mehta casting immediately and ask for guidance. I would find ask if you should get some local x-rays to document the current curve for comparison and I would start scheduling him to see the ortho whenever your older child is seen. Good Luck.
