Guest guest
Lea, Thank you for writing to share about 's appointments with Dr. Cush and his associate. It is indeed good news that he feels her Still's may be on the downside of the onset. I was also interested to read what he said about the RA because that is pretty much how my disease course went. I was diagnosed 31 years ago at the age of 19 and my onset was very, very severe and left me with quite a bit of arthritic damage to my joints but after the initial first years and medications the Still's went into remission and then my doctor referred to my condition as rheumatoid arthritis. Even that is now in remission. Once, when I saw another doctor for a short period when I moved for two years I was even told my RA factor came back positive and that confused me because when diagnosed 15 years previously it was negative. So, now with what Dr. Cush has said to you it would make sense to me how that may occur and I just never had asked for an explanation. Again, thank you for sharing this with us. It has helped me and I would hold anything Dr. Cush says about this disease as the utmost authority available. May have continued success, _____ Ellen, I just wanted to let know that went to see Dr. Cush Dr. Cush said something very interesting that I had not heard. He said that he is not very concerned about the Stills part of this disease and thinks that is about over with anyway His concern is the rheumatoid arthritis which can be life long but may have a greater possibility of going into remission because it was caused by Stills than if you just developed RA Lea Howell
