Guest guest
Sunday, 7 December 2008 The Buzz After our Courier Mail article and Brisbane Extra's TV appearance, the media love affair with raw milk and herdshares has continued. Wight, freelance journalist in Sydney, called us a couple of weeks ago. A friend has sent her a link and she loved the idea so much she pitched the story to Sydney Morning Herald that morning. Her great article appeared in the Good Living magazine on Tuesday and hundreds of people since have joined the herdshare community. Welcome Sydneysiders. The Byron Echo also printed an article and Joanne has appeared on the local radio numerous times which has seen the Byron numbers swell. Who knows who'll be the first herdshare in NSW, Byron or Sydney. Which ever it is, we aim to get the first herdshare up and running in June next year. We've also had much interest from as far flung places as Toowoomba, Perth, Gippsland, Cairns... as well as all the major capitol cities. Things are hotting up. back to top Next Stop: Investment To build the software and legal resources we need to pull this thing off, we need dollars. Not too many dollars but enough to slow us down if we don't have them. While the farmers we're talking with are happy to invest some of the money they receive from selling their cows, there's a lot of work to do before we're able to get their herdshares up and running, all of which requires dollars. So if you know anyone who has a spare $30K or more to invest in a socially and environmentally ethical business with healthy potential returns, let them know about us.
