Guest guest
Glad that is eating again! It's hard to see our kids be so sick. Your right about Michigan being cold. Last night with the wind chill we were at -24. Still below 0 with the wind chill today, although I think we are up to a balmy -13. Guest guest
48 !!! That is warm enough for just a hoodie and some sweat pants. We need a full fledged snow suit now. It's ridiculous. Oh and lets not forget the 8 inches of snow dumped on us Friday. I can handle snow, but the cold temps just do me in. My joints cant handle it. Guest guest
Hi Penny, She's finally feeling much better, though still tired and weak. She has much of her appetite back, so I'm hoping to fatten her up a bit over her winter break. It's cold and rainy here today (well, cold for California, not Michigan LOL!) so we'll probably just curl up and watch Kung Fu Panda > , how are you and today? > >
Guest guest
Holy smokes! It's 48 here, so I won't complain LOL > Glad that is eating again! It's hard to see our kids be so > sick. Guest guest
Well, for those of us who hang out in t-shirts and shorts most of the year, a hoodie and sweat pants IS a snow suit! LOL I spent 4 years in college in Massachusetts and then another 4 in grad school in Colorado, and I don't miss the snow one single bit! :-) > 48 !!! Guest guest
Darn right! I lived in Ohio for 25 years. Now I live in Houston. Our worst problem is having to watch the weather report like a hawk, because we can go through three climate zones in 2 hours. Then it'll be 76º when Allie leaves for school, but 30º when she gets out that afternoon [or the reverse]. That's not unusual, it's winter in Houston. We'll spend 4-5 days running from 59º-72º, then suddenly it's two days of 32º and a 30 mph wind. You've got some kids walking home in t-shirt and shorts and the others in winter coats. You can tell who's mom didn't pay attention to the news that morning! This month Allie went to school two days a week in t-shirt & capri's and the rest in sweats and a heavy coat. Around here, we say " Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes! " :-) Sandi In a message dated 12/22/2008 9:56:18 A.M. Guest guest
I don't know how anyone in snowy regions stand it. I saw on the weather map today it's cold through much of the US. One thing we can count on in East TN, it may get cold, expected to be around 12 degrees tonight, but in a couple of days it will be back in the 40s to 50s for highs, 20s to 30s for the lows. I don't know how any of you in the below freezing for weeks on end stand it. It's so very too cold for me, and I like cool weather!! Debi who's glad we own a kerosene heater!
