This really

depends on the individual child and their own presentation of scoliosis. Some

kids are of sturdy phenotype w/ low curves/rotation (non syndromic) and wont regress

fast out of cast. Others have high or low curves, but have syndromes and are

of slender phenotype and may regress really fast. Great question for the treating

doc.

You know, I've heard that theory before, too.

But, I just feel like

it hasn't been the case in Jack's spine. It seems that the longer

he's in a cast, the worse of a rebound we get. And, stretching it

another week just scares the heck out of me. We've lost six degrees

from out of cast to out of cast this time. :(
