Guest guest
Hi Mandi, We did a round of ALA. It's part of Yasko but we wanted to do Andy's protocol. I just posted to the A-M group but thought I'd ask you here too - I'll copy it below. What do you see at the end of a round? .... I must admit we're really really hopeful about this. We got 3 copies of Dana's book 3 years ago. Her boy had a lutein intolerance like Eddie too - and Sara (of Sara's diet) - it's really rare (or rarely picked up on??) But we'd love Eddie to recover from it like Dana's boy did. Best wishes, Sandyx .... The question to A-M ... We chose ALA only and gave 12mg at 2.5hr intervals for 3 days and 2 nights. We were surprised to see a good response and delighted that it was tolerated (Eddie is profoundly allergic/sensitive). He seemed great, really great immediately after but he is lacklustre today (2-3 days later). It could be a bit of hayfever or something else. But I vaguely remember reading a long while back about effects after a round. Is there something we should be doing to help mop up or ease the transition? .... Guest guest
I would lower the dose, how much in pounds does Eddie weigh? Some folks find doing longer rounds help, but keep as many days off at least as you did on, but first IU would take him down to 5mg per dose,Sam was 60 + pounds when we started with 5mg. Congrats on getting that first round in the bag Mandi x After ALA - Mandu Hi Mandi, We did a round of ALA. It's part of Yasko but we wanted to do Andy's protocol. Guest guest
Hi Mandi, Thanks :-)! Eddie is about 40lbs so the range is 5-20mg and we gave about 12 mg so we could come down. He was so good - but very tired 2 days later. Best wishes, Sandyx > > I would lower the dose, how much in pounds does Eddie weigh? Guest guest
Hi Sandy, I agree with what Mandi says about lowering the dose. It seems almost impossible to believe that such a tiny little bit of chelator can have such a huge impact, but it does. I would also consider, if lowering the dose still leaves Eddie kind of wiped, giving more C with each dose. If he swallows capsules this is super easy. Also, my son did better with longer rounds at the beginning. His down bit would be the day immediately after the round, but that went away when we started using 4.5 and 5.5 day rounds. Great job that Eddie did so well :-) Anita > > Hi Mandi, > > Thanks :-)! > Eddie is about 40lbs so the range is 5-20mg and we gave about 12 mg > so we could come down.
