October 20 event at Vida Loca benefits local autism support group

Katy Autism Support and Vida Loca are teaming up to provide help to

caregivers of area children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

On Monday, October 20, a portion of the proceeds from Vida Loca

restaurant will be donated to the local group.

More than 600 children identified with ASDs are attending Katy ISD.

Many more are home-schooled or in other educational settings. The

groups' mission is to provide education and support to parents and

caregivers, and to create networking opportunities between parents,

educators and other professionals that will ultimately benefit children

with autism.
