Who We Are

I know you well, I know you not.

Behind your eyes, so well you keep

all the pain which life has given;

hidden well and buried deep.

You've earned the right to dance with stars,

and shine with them at night awhile-

so you will know at least just once,

what it is like to truely smile.

The sun should rise in search of you,

and bring it's gift of warming rays,

for life has treated you so cold,

unfair, unjust, so many days.

I wish I could absorb your pain.

(So soon it would be long forgot).

I'd add your sorrows to my own.
