Guest guest
Dear Friends,I do so appreciate your wonderful comments and wanted you all to know that. This week I have had my brothers children, my niece Lucy who is 10 and my nephew Buddy who is 12. They are sweet kids and it has been a delight.I had warned my brother that I had no tv or games up here and that is was a no frill all work existence here, readying the farm house for our planned occupation this fall. I am still cooking on a propane grill out back, but do have indoor plumbing now and shower, but my days are taken with painting, caulking and feeding my entourage of 3 dogs, 1 cat and one 2 year old gelding. The kiddos came and the week blasted by all too soon. They are good with paintbrushes, and Buddy can handle a screw gun with ease. We did manage to sneak away for a couple of pony rides, and forays out on the tractor to look for bunnies. I introduced them to a couple of cowboys I have become acquainted with, they work cattle and horses and the kids were enthralled watching them work my mare Kimmi. Today we even went to Lake Somerville and although it was raining a bit, we swam and scouted out skads of deer. Does, Bucks and Fawns, they had never seen anything like it and were really thrilled. EVERY meal I made they thanked me in a most sweet and sincere way. I am so glad to have had this time with those kiddos and hope they feel the same.So this is what I have been consumed by and hope that you all can understand that is why I have been so quiet. I am not a ghost, although I did see a wood spirit at the lake today. Magic in the most unlikely places........Blessings,Feebs
