Guest guest
Hi , I don't know of anyone specifically who provides this service, but the website http://www.wrightslaw.com/ has a lot of articles and resources for free about special education law and advocacy. Best of luck! Guest guest
www.partnerstx.org is the state Parent Training & Information organization that is federally funded and supposed to help parents for free. Some offices are better than others. There is also www.advocacyinc.org but you will need to meet their “priority list” for them to attend ARDs with you. The priorities are on their website and they too are free. www.topaa.org has a list of advocates and attorneys and fees vary. Also, check your local Autism Society chapter. Many of them have advocates that will help you. This email list is also good to answer questions, but it is a public forum and you never know who might be reading your posts. Guest guest
Tim.. other parents.. Please let me know of some local advocates in your state - I really need to get a few there that I can coordinate some ARD/Due Process cases with. This may bolster their ability and as well give me a better overall picture (I know it's not pretty) of what is happening where so when I do end up there in a DP Hearing I'll know who to target first.. etc. . With the number of cases in TX I now have a trip to there is imminent. I may tie it in with a late Jan trip to DC, NY, and Possibly PA.
