Please mark your calendars for one of Northeast Tarrant County's

newest day treatment centers for young children with Autism. Journey

Learning Center will be holding an open house with Radio Disney on

Saturday December 6th from 1 to 3pm. The location of Journey Learning

Center is 2100 W. Northwest Highway #219, Grapevine, Texas 76051.

Journey Learning Center's mission is to provide a multidisciplinary

treatment approach for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to

maximize the development of their communication, social, sensory-motor

and academic skills within a single setting.

Journey Learning Center provides year-round services for children with

Autism Spectrum Disorder utilizing customized treatment approaches

appropriate to each child's specific needs. Strategies employed

include Relationship Development Intervention (RDI), Applied

Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

Future programming will include equine-assisted therapies, adapted

gymnastics, integration of neuro-typical peers and consultation with

bio-medical professionals to assist with directing the course of each

child's complete treatment.

During this open house there will be tours of the facility, an

opportunity to visit with the staff, learn more about the services

offered and receive information on enrollment parameters for children

(between 2 & 6) on the Autism Spectrum.

Other activities will include fun and games, a Radio Disney Party, a

bounce house, gift basket sales, refreshments and opportunities to

visit with parents of children currently attending Journey.
