Stakeholder Meeting

Community Living Assistance and Support Services

Waiver Renewal

The Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) waiver

will be renewed on September 1, 2009. DADS has scheduled a

stakeholder meeting to obtain feedback from stakeholders regarding

current waiver services. The stakeholder meeting will be held

Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the H.

Winters Complex, Room 103W, located at 701 W 51st Street, Austin,

Texas 78751.

Written comments regarding waiver services may be submitted until 5:00

PM the day of the stakeholder meeting. Written comments may be sent

to Bob by fax at , by e-mail to

bob.scott@..., or mail to Bob , DADS, Community

Services, PO Box 149030, Mail Code W-521, Austin, Texas 78714-9030.

Please confirm your attendance and provide the names of attendees from

your organization to Urrutia at or

mary.urrutia@... by Tuesday, December 2, 2008.

Persons with disabilities who plan to attend the meeting and who will

need auxiliary aids or services should contact Urrutia at (512)

438-4157 or mary.urrutia@... at least 3 business days

prior to the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Please Note: Visitors to the Winters Building should allow extra time

to check in at the security desk prior to the meeting.

The Department on Aging and Disability Services is in the process of

renewing the CLASS waiver. This is a prime opportunity to offer

suggestions on how the waiver can be improved to serve adults and

children with disabilities better. If you can't attend the meeting

but have some recommendations you want offered, feel free to send them

to me.

is anyone from the list attending? It is on my son's birthday, otherwise I

would definitely have gone as I have plenty to say.

The people listed are the same people I have spoken to in the past and got

no where.
