Guest guest
Hello All, I am the person who posted that McCarthy was going to be on Larry King Live. I had no idea when I posted it that it would lead to this much dialog. I am very surprised at the number of people who do not care for her views on Autism. I posted it because I thought that any dialog about Autism that makes it to national television or a public forum and keeps it on people's minds was a good thing. I do not agree with everything that says, but I, like so many other mothers take any and all information and decipher what I think is best for my daughter. Since my daughter was vaccine injured...I don't take any one thing a person says to heart...until I research it. There are some many viewpoints, as we've seen through all the comments posted, that I truly realize that not only does Autism have some many facets (spectrum) but so are the viewpoints of many who either have Autism or have a child with Autism. Each viewpoint I respect because I realize that everyone's plight is going to be different. I do not apologize for posting that was going to be on Larry, but I am sorry that we've all not respectfully tried to understand each others viewpoint and learn from it. What would tell our children to do in disagreements? Well, that's exactly what we should do in this forum. One thing I know for sure is that we are all in this together and we all need each other to take on those who don't understand what we go through. There are so many things that unite us than divide us...let's focus on that....at least for the sake of our children.
