Guest guest
, I could hardly breath just taking a shower and getting dressed by the time I weighed 268 but slowly after the first four months I got a cd of Tai Chi for Arthritis from Amazon and started doing it just 5 minutes a couple of times a week with a group I go to for my bi-polar disease. The Tai Chi was written about in an article of Arthritis Today as being very healthy for balance and strengthening muscles without much stress on the joints. I didn't do the Yoga because I couldn't get into some of the positions especially on the floor. Of course I checked with my rheumatologist first. I HATE excersize but this wasn't so bad and I only did it a little bit and it was easy and relaxing. Then as I lost the weight I even quit doing that but was just able to move more and do more actively. The best part was that within the first 5 months of me losing my hips never hurt again so I KNOW it was the weight after all the two years of x-rays and MRI's to see what was wrong with the implants. My knees are better also and although I tried so very hard to still love myself as the years went on and I got heavier, I am happy again I'm getting to a smaller size. Good luck however it goes, just try to be nice to yourself. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bouldin ! It's the physical activity that gets me. I'm so tired by the end of the day, I just don't know where to fit it in. ...or where to start. Maybe yoga? Any suggestions? Recent Activity a.. 5New Members Visit Your Group Yahoo!
