Guest guest
At Special Cheers in Houston with Fritzi Strowmatt Glover, OTR. She filed insurance for me and they covered it at 50% because she was out of network. CReeceGet the Moviefone Toolbar. Showtimes, theaters, movie news more! Guest guest
We used Special Cheers last summer for our son. It was great. He loved the summer camp atmosphere. He has Medicaid so it was paid for 100 percent. Fritzi is a great, warm person. Our son can't wait to go back.kgreeceman@... wrote: At Special Cheers in Houston with Fritzi Strowmatt Glover, OTR. Guest guest
This was Bryce's third round of AIT. He was almost six when he received his first round. We noticed a difference from the very first sessions three years ago. He has sensory processing disorder along with autism. AIT has helped with his sensitive hearing. He wouldn't flush the toilet for years. Now he does, and he just turned nine on Nov. 19. He doesn't hold his hands over his ears near as much. he also likes to listen to music in the car, when before he didn't. He also wants to sit in the front seat, when before he didn't. He also tolerates tennis shoes better. He still flaps his hands, makes unintelligible noises and picks at nose and bug bites. It always improves his communication and social skills from the time before. He has become more loving with his younger brother and more affectionate with me and his dad. He's also more talkative with his peers, and he interacts with them more.School has always been difficult for Bryce. Now that he is in third grade, it's even more problematic. The workload has increased, and so has his anxiety. The AIT didn't seem to help much with that. He is on Deplin now to help with sadness, anxiety, etc. It hasn't helped with his diet. He self-limits to pizza, french fries, Trix yogurt, jello, apples, fish sticks, Saltines, toast, milk, soda and Goldfish. Not very nutritious. He's overweight, but he's in occupational therapy, where the therapists are trying to get him to tolerate different food textures. He still perseverates on certain issues. If he starts something, lets say a video game or a You Tube video, he has to finish it, or he gets mad. As you can see, AIT has helped my son on many different levels, but not helped on others. The benefits are different for every child. Hope that wasn't too wordy. Mouser wrote: How did the AIT help? Re: AIT-Houston We used Special Cheers last summer for our son. It was great.
