Hey, all of you need to learn tolerance and accept different points of

view. I think Mac is a waste of time, but I do not ask to

silence her as I do not ask you to be silent.

I know about the Acceptance Movement by many high functioning teens

and adults and I feel it is great that they speak up. I agree with

many of their ideas. I have a difference of opinion that many have in

regards to vaccines, but there are many other wonderful ideas I have

got from you all that has been helpful. That De-Stress supplement is

great for kids with anxiety and sensory difficulties. I accept my kids

but I am also not going to let them suffer either. If meds help great!

If therapies help terrific. I do tons of OT for my daughter and that

just helps her. I accept her but choose to help her work through her

discomfort. I have done a lot of behavior modification on students,

yeah I accept them but wouldn't they feel more comfortable in the

classroom if they were to have a plan in case of a melt down. It is

teaching a skill and many kids are in need of that not just ASD kids.

We can make excuses but bad behavior should be unacceptable. I have

taught my ASD children appropriate behavior, just like my NT child.

One thing we do in behavior modification is to ignore the behavior,

since it is often attention seeking. Maybe if we ignore inflammatory

remarks, rather than comment and get into ugly dialogs. I know you all

feel passionately about this, but we need to make this a safe place.
