We're autistic - that doesn't mean we've disappeared. We're still here. It makes it sound like the faeries have come and stolen the real child away and left a fake one in it's place. The phrase 'lost in his/her own world' also really bugs me. We're in the same world as everyone else, we just look at it differently.
