Hello all,

I just wanted to alert everyone that Home Community Service

(HCS) is now paying for ABA services. This is great news.

It’s very important to get your child’s name on

the waiting list. You can do so by contacting your MHMR center.

In Dallas County it is called Metrocare:

In Collin County it is called Lifepath systems:

http://www.lifepathsystems.org/

The waiting list for HCS is about 10 yrs, there are about

40,000 people on the waiting list and it is first come first serve. It is

very important that we advocate to eliminate the waiting list and provide

individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities services in their

community now. Please write your state senator and representative

regarding the Medicaid waiver waiting list, tell them your story and request

that they fund Medicaid waiver community service programs like HCS and CLASS

now.

What about CLASS? Would they only pay for BCABA and BCBA or also for therapists?
