Guest guest
I’m focusing on commenting to Obama at the moment. We need secretaries of the USDA and FDA that aren’t industry criminals. Then perhaps we can see some weeding out of this federal and state employee criminal harassment and destruction of small farm agriculture. This may be something the American Civil Liberties organization would be interested in pursuing. These incidents are very disturbing and smack of fascism. During the last 2 years we have heard many nightmarish stories suffered by peaceful real farmers at the hands of TPTB. We have answered calls to action by writting and making phone calls to our Reps. but have been rebuffed and it seems we are in the same or worse position than before. Perhaps we need a different approach one that would not place us before our oppressors begging for relief. Maybe something like the CARE group here in PA. would work nationwide or something that would enable us to be independent of the system? Any thoughts? Guest guest
Unfortunately if those efforts arn't fruitful the next 4-8 years will prove much much worse than the last. If things keep on the current trend consumers will need to make drastic changes to keep their access to not just food, but also supplements, herbs and anything else that isn't chemical laden. There are a lot of approaches. It may be something like CARE or some novel form of farm ownership. It may be raising their own. It may be more radical like joining with farmers in intentional communities. I don't know if national approaches will work, it will most likely have to be local and community focused. wrote: > > I’m focusing on commenting to Obama at the moment.
