They said I told her That she would have to do it herself or have her mom do it and I guess I showed how to do it on myself..That scared the tar out of me so I just quit it.Some nites I am up until 5 or 6 in the morning but I would rather do that than hurt one of my grandkids. Ruthie has a friend that after taking hers one nite she got into her car and had a wreck and wander around forever before they found her..LOL, she is ok, but it got to her also. Guest guest
I just wanted to repeat a warning about Melatonin. I definitely think it is something that should be tried for sleeplessness. But a cautionary warning: one of the possible side affects is NIGHTMARES. I have violent nightmares when I take melatonin. I have woke up at a dead run screaming in total terror. So if anyone tries melatonin and begins to have bad dreams you know the source. Mel...It's 1:30 here in CA and I see you are still up. Guest guest
I have sleeping issues too and I am so glad we are talking about this. I have to take something everynight and I hate that. I am 39 and should be able to freakin sleep. My mind races at night and I cant sleep. According to my doc, that is anxiety and I literally need a chill pill. I was perscribed Ambien and after 2 days, had to stop. I slept but was such a bitch the day after, that I had to get off of it. I could just feel my blood boiling for no reason. Guest guest
I was a revision and I can say that the feeding tube was definitely more uncomfortable. It was a bigger diameter tube and much stiffer, and where it was located sometimes felt like a knife in my side. Be a good little post op and you'll be a lucky one and get it out as planned. I ended up with mine for over 2 months. If the pain get unbearable you might want to check with the office because they can get inflamed or have problems of their own that might cause the pain. If you have problems post op, believe me, you'll be glad that lifeline was in place. Mel- Speaking from experience! In a message dated 7/19/2008 10:40:48 P.M. Guest guest
I just know that we are to stick to protein and water. Sugar is basically a no-no always. It will slow or stop your weight loss. Since carbs are a form of sugar for the most part you need to really limit them. So if you read your binder you will see they say to stick to protein and water. That is all you can really handle at this stage anyway. Do your sip, sip, sip, nibble, nibble, nibble and walk, walk, walk. Those are the three words to live by. I was not a revision, but I am sure that he would still say protein and water as he has always told us in group to focus on that. Now is the time to start the new changes in your life, and your eating habits, which will mean giving up the sugars. You will be so glad you did. Pearl In a message dated 7/19/2008 8:40:59 P.M. Guest guest
Mel, I can understand where you are coming from on the Ambien issue. I, too, must take Ambien to sleep. I have had serious sleep issues for many years. I didn't sleep for several days at a time. Mine is not associated with pain, or anything else that they can find. I wonder if it could be genetic? My mother suffered from it as well as my sister. Bonnie Subject: Re: Mel in Bama To: DS_Friends_Keshishian Date: Sunday, July 13, 2008, 1:24 AM In a message dated 7/12/2008 8:58:29 P.M.
