I just joined a food coop that makes it possible to buy raw milk directly from the farmers, which is the only way to do it legally here in New York. I started making kefir a couple months ago and have been using organic milk from the health food stores, but I want to take it to the next level. I will be picking up my first purchase tomorrow. I try to eat raw as much as possible. I would like to learn from others who have been doing this for awhile. My only previous experience with raw milk was on my uncle's farm when I was a kid (oh, probably at least 50 years ago.) I remember not liking it at all, but it was warm, taken out of the large stainless steel barrel or vat he stored his milk in. He was, obviously, a dairy farmer. My email address is: mikem07306@....
