Well we just made it home from 's check-up/Xray today. I am happy to tell you he is brace-free during the day!!!!!!This was my hope and prayer that he could at least be brace free during the day.He will now only wear his brace at night and go back in 4 months for a check-up.Now the numbers.........his doctor has never been big on the number so this was pretty humorous. He said he measured it 2 times. First time he got 5.......he measures again and gets 10. He didn't care about the number anyway, so he went with what the xray shows. He feels it is time to see what will happen. Me of course wanted a number so I pushed and he said, pick a number. Or just average them.......so maybe 7.5 degrees. Who knows and who cares! The xray looks GREAT! Although I truly wanted this I am now a

little scared. I am sure I will be watching him closely now. is unsure about the whole thing. The cast and now brace is all he knows. I will not be surprised if he ask me to put his brace on.This is just another case of how Early Treatment is key for Infantile Scoliosis. I am SO thankful for this treatment and ish Rite and their team that has healed my son. I know it is not fully over and we have many visits for the future, but I also know where we would be today if had never had this treatment. Thanks be to God first of all, and thank you and ISOP for all you continue to do DAILY to bring awareness to Infantile Scoliosis. And thank you everyone for letting me share our GOOD news!TashaMommy of twin boys- and 3 years oldFort Worth, Texas is currently feeling naked without his brace!Casting for 14 months and bracing for 10

Thanks for inspiring us. I was at the clinic this morning for the check up of my daughter 3 mos. after her first cast. There was another girl there who was also in a cast. I was so excited to know her parents bec I thought they are part of this group. However, I found out that she is being taken cared of by her grandparents ( the reason for this is another story.)

The grandmother told me that she was diagnosed to have scoliosis at age 2 but when they brought her a hospital in LA they were told to wait and see. I forgot how they were able to inquire here at Loma and was reffered to Dr. Kishan. the girl had her first cast last June she was already at 90 degrees according to the grandmother although I could not visibly see the curvature.

The reason why I am bringing this up is the fact that maybe there are many more children out there that are being observe when ET could have been started already thus correction can be done earlier thereby minimizing or even eliminating physiololgical compromises on a child's body. I know at one point here it was raised that the group is working towards asking the American academy of Pediatrician to include scoliosis in their routine check.

May I know what is the status of that. I just hope that soon all the doctors esp. pediatrician will soon be very educated about referring scoliotic children to properly trained orthopedic surgeon.

Likewise, I hope that there will be more doctors esp. orthopedic surgeons that will be more interested in learning this Mehta technique. I can attest to the fact that a lot of doctors are still on the wait and see school of thought.

And yes, I am sure with the success on ET has proven its worth.
