Guest guest
Who has had a tummy tuck? I did. I had an extended abdominalplasty and an extended brachioplasty. Dr K okay'd me staying close to home and I am glad I did because it was 70 miles away as it was and I had to go back a lot for check ups and follow up care. Sometimes that included a ferry ride. How far out Two years and eight months Did insurance pay for it? Absolutely not. I paid cash and that included everything: anesthesiologists, assistants, nurses, operating room, etc. The cost was $15,000. He was a first class plastic surgeon from Bellevue, WA. I am totally happy with the results. I was on Medicare (for us old guys) and he wasn't even a provider due to the new coding rules that make it almost impossible to get paid if you are a private surgeon or small business health care person. He is doing my leg lifts if I ever get an ok from Delano for the labs I need first. And the cost of that is $6,000 including everything. Painful? I had to go to an infectious disease specialist and he cut away dead skin on a small patch over my pubis bone. It never hurt at all and he did it without painkillers because I didn't need it. However, I have a problem with Oxicotin, percocet, etc. It gives me brain fog, stomach aches, and makes me quiet and distant. This time I got Dilaudid or something that sounds like that as I am not sure of the spelling. Let's just say that I faithfully took all they gave me. I don't remember any pain from the TT and brachioplasty but they put me in this corset like garment that made a huge contact abrasion on my butt. That hurt like hell. So without the garment I would have been fine. But, just know I am only just starting to sleep on my stomach again after having the surgery last October. I can't figure out where to put my left arm when I sleep that way as it is not as comfortable as it used to be. Good luck. Marta loved Dr. K's handiwork for her TT.
