??Why for PANDAS do they use IVIG and not Immunosuppresants?

I was reading about rapamycin..why are meds like this not used for

PANDAS? Is it because it suppresses everything? It seems to me that

IVIG is very costly and there has to be another way to treat

PANDAS ...Any ideas?
