Guest guest
WOW - Thank you all for so much info on the tummy tuck. It doesn't sound as bad as I thought it would be and everyone said it was worth it even if they had to pay out of pocket. Thank you so much for the insight, I really do appreciate all of the great information on this site. Over the past 8 years - 2 prior to surgery and 6 since surgery - I have relied heavily on input from the members here. I am so thankful for the " post ops " who stick around and help others. Regarding insurance and pre-existing conditions: In my experience that you will have to find a " Group Insurance " that does not take down any prior health info. Where I work now there was not a policy in place so they had to buy one for me. Like Jo said, one employee is a " group " . I must pay for my husband's portion. So, there are only two people on this policy and it is very expensive ($1500 per month) and not even very good insurance. Health Net. But, because it is " group insurance " they never took any prior health info from me. I did get this job after WLS and I knew I would not be insurable on my own. I looked for a job that would provide the " group " insurance. My sister just went to work part time (24 hr. per week) and gets fabulous insurance that covers massage, acupuncutre and physical therapy. It is a group coverage and they did not take any prior health information either. Hope this helps. Thanks again for all of the information on tummy tucks. I will make the trek to Delano and Dr. K and see what he says. Melodie in Colusa 6 years post op. Bounced up to 191. Would like to be 170#.
