Guest guest
My DD's friend is a scared, confused child. She's 13. Her mother has had an addiction problem for years. I found her mother dead in her home last Thursday night (what a nightmare). Thank goodness I've had her daughter in my home for the last two weeks, so she didn't have to endure the last horrible days of this devastation. CPS has given us temp. custody. My dd, 12 years old, has so much compassion for her friend. She can easily identify with the negative feelings, since she herself has had to learn how to control her OCD and all the anger and behavioral problems that come with it. My question is-- Do you think it is possible to extend temp. custody for a few months, then go ahead with an adoption or should I become a foster mother? I don't know what is best. It's Sat. night and the CPS worker wasn't available to talk to me tonight (obviously). We live in FL. Thank you for ANY input,
