Guest guest
Please see below and contact Ms. Ramshaw asap if you have any grievances regarding TEA mediators or hearing officers. Ms. Ramshaw is really putting a spotlight on many important disability related issues, and was the writer of the recent DMN article regarding the long waiting lists for public services for disabled Texans. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has been through the administrative remedy process through the TEA and encountered a lack of professionalism, procedural violations and/or apparent bias to let your voice be heard. She asked that we stick to the subject matter since it is so tempting to want to vent about the many the problems we face regarding IDEA enforcement, so please only contact her if you have complaints that fall into the categories below. From: ERamshaw@...: Dallas Morning News interviewDate: Thu, 3 Jan 2008 15:56:13 -0600 I’m a reporter with The Dallas Morning News and I’m writing a story about TEA special education mediators and hearing officers. I’m searching for parents who either: a) had huge problems with their mediators/due process hearing officers (they fell asleep, failed to show up, had conflicts of interest, etc. etc.) had mediators or hearing officers who took forever to get the job done, who broke deadlines, who delayed and delayed. If you fall into either of those categories, or know anyone who does, can you please get in touch with me as soon as possible? Thanks so much for your help, Ramshaw The Dallas Morning News Austin Bureau fax: Get the power of Windows + Web with the new Windows Live.
