Omg. I get the pleasure of talking to her on Facebook. We talked about diets we were going to do. We were going to to lose 15 pounds. She'sPosted a lot on my page and is just an all around great woman. I am praying for her and will be sending a card . Thank you for the update

Hi guys I thought I'd pop in over here and update you on a long time DSer Vicki Blackburn. About a week and 1/2 ago Vicki suffered a brain bleed at the brain stem area. If you personally know Vicki then you know prior to DS surgery she had a spinal tumor that was removed. That surgery left her with some handycap issues. There is a tumor at her brain stem that caused the brain bleed (stroke). I don't know if this tumor is a leftover from her original tumor or something new.

At this time Vicki is being moved from ICU to a regular room. She is thankfully breathing on her own, but she can't swallow. (brain stem controls the basic functions like breathing and swallowing). She is on a feeding tube. She has been able to wiggle toes and fingers but not " move " her limbs. She is " aware " and responsive. I'm praying for some recovery too!

I think the time has come to start letting her know how much she means to us and send a little card or letter to her. The address I'm providing is off the internet. I'm not sure what room number she will be moved to.

I plan to visit this week. Hopefully Tuesday.
