Rock Solid Faith

I am a rock, immovable.

A title I had to earn.

I have been reborn many times,

but never did I learn.

At first I was a happy man,

and then I went off to war.

I came back home dillusional

and forgot what life was for.

Then I became a little dog,

walking careless in the road.

I got ran over by a car,

and was reborn as a toad.

I never did learn how to swim,

and while reaching for a fly;

I slipped and fell into the lake-

once again I had to die.

Then I became a tiny ant

and craweled into a person's sock.

I got sprayed with insecticide,

and then I became a rock.

I am a rock, immovable.

A title I had to earn.

I have been reborn many times.

Now it's too late to learn.
