Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the group. I have two kids taking acyclovir right now. They will be 3 years old in 3 weeks. They are taking 200mg acyclovir three times a day in liquid suspension. My girl is on day 23. During the first days of the antiviral I did not see many changes. However, she has had low fever on and off during the last 5 days. She also has large dark circles under her eyes and looks low of energy. She is also having cold symptoms, is irritable and looks a bit spacey. She is not her usual self. She was already talking before startign acyclovir; I haven't seen gains in verbal communication. Until now I have only seen signs of regression. She has not had a rash. I am getting worried because she looks so low of energy, but at the same time I am hopeful that some gains could start happening soon. How does this scenario sound to you? Are all these signs of die off? My boy is on day 16. He had diarrea durign the first days and still has some loose stools from time to time. He also had fever and cold symptoms. He looked sick for a few days, but he looks good now. He was also verbal before starting and I haven't seen gains in verbal communication. He is grinding his teeth a lot. Have any of you seen grinding teeth as part of the die off? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks, Dusya
