Guest guest Posted July 20, 2008 Report Share Posted July 20, 2008 hi, i'm anastasia and i'm a new member who just joined today. i don't know anyone who is autistic, but i would like to know more about autism. i'm very curious about autism. i did a google search on autism. on rare occassions, autism is caused by an " agent of birth defects " . it can also be caused by vaccines. what kind of vaccines? are there other common causes of autism? i also read that about half of the parents find out that their child is autistic by age 18 months and about 4/5 of parents find out by 24 months. for the parents of an autistic child, if you didn't pick up the symptoms right away, how long did it take you before you realized that something was wrong? thanks, anastasia Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
