Guest guest Posted September 19, 2008 Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 Robin You can start to add veggies anytime...just make sure it's not at the sacrafice of protein. #1. Fluids as dehydration will land you back in the hospital faster than anything. #2. Protein #3. Veggies....yea! A warning...lettuce has been an issue for some folks so add that back with caution, go slow and do it when you don't have to be Out and about...just to be safe. Lettuce has no adverse reactions for me...but for some it takes time to tolerate it. I too CRAVED veggies early on. My solution...I snacked on veggies between meals. A bowl of peas for an afternoon snack, Some spinich with and egg scrambled into it, yummy. So my meals consisted of protein with protein sides...and snacks were veggies...that way I could get in enough protein at the meals and eat a large enough portion of veggies for a snack to satisy the craving...and gosh, it was healthy to boot.
