Guest guest
Thank you Ghyll - I thought I'd never do it. I'm really good at the " get plenty of sleep " bit, but I'm not happy to be hungry and I take my hat off to you for managing 4 weeks of fluids and then 4 of mushies. You must be superhuman! I think I'll use optifast for as long as possible because that does stave off hunger pangs, but solids can't come fast enough! Thank you for the pureed mince & fish idea. I'll be onto that as soon as the dr. confirms I can have mushies. I promise I will be sip sip sipping (with some Benefibre, to boot) - I had the worst time of " that " this afternoon (petrified that I'd burst my band)!!(sorry) Hugs back to you, Chriss > > Welcome to the loser's bench Chriss, great to have you on board with us bandits. > > Remember to take things slowly - you have had major surgery and need time to adjust to things and to just rest peacefully while you can. Get plenty of sleep - this way the body heals itself so much quicker. > > You mentioned that you were hungry - your doctor's regime is very different to mine - I was on fluids for 4 weeks and then mushies for 4 weeks so not able to offer much advice on plan of yours except to say that as you are able to go straight onto a puree diet, to get as much protein as you can - this does lessen the hunger - and mince and fish puree rather nicely. > > Also remember to keep on drinking - sip sip sip - this also helps with the hunger. > > Hugs, > Ghyll >
