Guest guest
Hi Robynn, Thank you so much for doing this! I have a lot of of gluten free recipes that I will add but it probably won't be until next week. This week is really crazy and I want to go through the recipes to make sure they are tasty as well as easy to make. I have stopped making any recipe that takes me over 15 minutes of prep time. Carolyn Robynn <Robynn@...> wrote: I'm glad you're happy with me doing this because I've made a few executive decisions. =) I have created the following folders at /files/Healthy%20Recipes/ Breakfast Recipes Dessert Recipes Entree Recipes Salad Recipes Snack Recipes When I create the actual file, the text file with the recipe in it, I can add a name and a description. In that description I will include any information given to me by the person sending me the recipe. For instance, Low Calorie, No Corn, All Natural etc. For folks looking for something specific in or out of the recipes this will require a little more work because you'll need to look at each recipe within each folder. However for folks looking just to eat healthier, this will be easiest because they can just get breakfast ideas or lunch ideas etc. Let's try this for a while and we can adjust later if it doesn't work out. I'm not going to research each of these recipes! So please be cautious about your claims. If you use this recipe at home and know there is no corn in it great. But if you're just passing along a recipe that you read about and haven't researched it yourself, then describe it in ways that you know are correct. We can always add to and remove from the description. Don't be afraid to list brand names. Most of the time one brand will make a product different than another company. So if you know brand A doesn't use wheat, then please tell us. This isn't designed to advertise this is designed to inform. If you want to take the effort to research whether or not another brand has the same properties please do and let me know what you find out. I can always add to the file a list of different brands that offer the same ingredient in the same fashion. Please also check out the new Links section at /links called Healthy Eating. If you have a link you would like me to add just let me know! =) Robynn The book, Confronting Lyme Disease: What Patient Stories Teach Us is now available through Amazon and Booksurge Bookstores. Guest guest
I hope everyone hasn't forgotten about the recipe idea! I know things always get busy, especially at the beginning of the week. No worries! I just wanted to remind everyone that the recipe folders have been created. When you're ready to add items, please let me know either through the list or through the owner address of -owner . Let me know if you have any questions or if there's anything I can do to help. =) Robynn The Files section can be found at: /files/
Guest guest
Robynn still think its a great idea...myself I havent had the time to look into my recipe collection...duking it out with Car insurance over value of my daughter's totalled Jeep last week ( she is relatively ok thank G-d); trying to correct an accounting error her college made when they illegally decided to retroactively rescind a scholarship 2 weeks AFTER her graduation...and trying to change around my own meds as now I have joined others with dysautonomia who also have GI issues like slow stomach emptying!! serves me right for saying to them " well so far my GI issues only include wheat intolerance " ...HAH the universe caught me As far as the whole infighting mess amongst Lymies...I agree with you. Now is NOT the time or place for any of " us " to be choosing sides...or even having sides. We are all either ill or caring for others who are ill...and often our own agendas get in the way of clear thinking. Shame, darn shame,....I too choose to avoid politicization and simply help others through advocacy to know how to get the help they need...medically, educationally, emotionally...etc thru the various services out there. Beyond that I only attend informational conferences...and give my support behind the scenes to whichever endeavor I feel to be honest and in the interest of all the Lymies..via donations or letters, etc. Ill try to get some recipes to you soon be well and take care...I certainly appreciate all that you do!!!
