Guest guest
My mother has asthma. Does anyone know if the Flovent or Albuterol has adverse effects on this disease? Guest guest
THANKS COURAGE FOR THE INFORMATION, I AM NOT SURE I EVEN RESPONDED TO YOUR POST. IF NOT I AM SORRY. I DID CUT THE MG TO 50 AT NIGHT AND 25 AM AND 25 AT NOON YESTERDAY AND TODAY. SHE HAD NO HALLUCINATIONS OR DELUSIONS YESTERDAY. THIS MORNING SHE HAD A HALLUCINATION ONE TIME BEFORE I TOOK HER HOME. NO THEY DO NOT FRIGHTEN HER, MOST OF THE TIME IF SHE IS CONFORTED ABOUT IT SHE WILL ADMIT THAT SHE KNOWS IT ISN'T REAL. SHE HAS SUCH A HARD TIME DRESSING, SHE WAS TRYING TO PUT HER PJ BOTTOMS ON FOR HER TOP LAST NIGHT. WE LAUGHTED AND I HELPED HER. SUN MORNING WE WERE IN THE BR TOGETHER, I LOOKED AT HER AND SHE WAS TRYING TO GET HER PANTY HOSE AND PANTIES UP. I COULD NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME SEE WHAT WAS WRONG UNTIL I PULLED DOWN THE PANTIES AND FOUND OUT SHE HAD ON TWO PAIR!! PANTIES, PANTY HOSE AND PANTIES. SHE HAD USED THE COMODE AND COULD NOT GET THEM ALL UP. SHE HAD THE FIRST PAIR OF PANTIES UP, THE PANTY HOSE NOT PULLED UP AND THE SECOND PAIR OF PANTIES TRYING TO PULL THEM UP. IT IS REALLY INTERESTING WHEN SHE IS AROUND. HER 2 BOYS ARE TRYING TO GET UP THE NERVE TO MOVE HER TO AN ASST. LIVING PLACE. I TALKED WITH HER ABOUT IT TODAY BEFORE SHE LEFT, THEN FOUND HER CRYING LATER. IT BREAKS MY HEART THAT I HAVE ONE SISTER HERE AND CAN'T GIVE HER THE SAME HELP, IF I COULD CHOOSE I WOULD CHOOSE HER OVER RUTH. IT MAKES ME FEEL AS IF SHE ISN'T IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO HAVE HERE. I KNOW THAT SHE DOESN'T FEEL THAT WAY, BUT SHE IS SOOO SWEET AND RUTH HAS BEEN IN THE PAST A REAL " PISS ANT " ONE OF HER SAYINGS. ANYWAY RIGHT NOW I COULD CRY FOR TEVA. SHE SO DESERVES MORE THAN SHE IS GETTING. SHE STILL KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON AND CAN DO EVERYTHING FOR HERSELF, WELL ALMOST, MEDS AND COOKING HAS TO BE DONE FOR HER. ABOUT THE SEROQUEL, THAT WAS ONE THAT WAS ON THE LIST FROM THE FDA. MAKES ME WONDER WHAAT DOCTORS WILL DO FOR THESE PEOPLE NOW AND TO THINK WE KNEW THIS LONG TIME AGO AND NO ONE WOULD LISTEN!! I DO HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL, IT SEEMS YOUR MOM HAS ADJUSTED, HOW ABOUT THE DAD? STAY HAPPY WITH THE GRAND AND THANKS FOR LISTENIING. Guest guest
Hi Jayn, Have your sisters hallucinations been ones that she and you can live with or were they scary? My mom still has lots of halluncinations on her low dose of seroquel spread out throughout the day but they don't bother her. My feeling is that I'd rather have mom on a low dose and having some hallucinations then no hallucinations at all and her being a zombie. You can also talk to her doctor about changing this med. I know that others on this list had to have there Seroquel changed to something else for effectiveness. Guest guest
My dad has been taking Exelon(rivastigmine)for about 18 months. It works extremely well for him in minimizing confusion and stopping halucinations. Our only regret is he didn't start on it sooner.
Guest guest
Vicki, I am 45, I take Lexapro an antidepressant, Lorazapam (Ativan) and anti-depressant and Restoril at time of sleep other wise I have horrible insomnia. Sometimes I still have the insomnia, even with all the meds I am taking. Being Bi-Polar I find the results of my DS has exacerbate all my phobias. I freak out at the simplest of situations I have been disabled and unable to hold down a job for the last year. I received a wonderful inspirational post about choices. It simply states, how we choose to think is how things are. So, I have adapted it to fit into my life. I am on day 3 when I wake up in the morning. So yesterday and today I have woken up, and 1. Gotten out of bed. 2. I got dressed. I did lay down this afternoon because of my back pain, but I was fully dressed and had tried. WE are our worst critics! I love me, I love my husband, I love my kids, even though they do not chose to have anything to do with me or to know me. I love my Mom. If I wake up every morning I figure I have a great chance of having a wonderful day. Best to you! Is it possible he had to raise it because I do not absorb as much. I am on a total of 2mg a day and that is high but I tell ya................these not being able to breathe and other symptoms are really bringing me down. I have had everything else checked so it is not my heart or anything. Does it shock anyone that I take Lamictal and Klonopin?? lol. Not only that, but I take something to help me sleep at night per my psych. I am a mess at 39. Vicki
Guest guest
You have a great attitude. Thank you for sharing. What about anxiety. That is my biggest issue right now as Lamictal has kept my moods in check (except for usual stuff that would piss anyone off........lol). Do you ever get anxiety attacks? They are horrible. Guest guest
Pamela, I have Hashi" and high antibodies as well. Your story is what happened to me when they reformulated the New armour. A lot of us went hypo on it. Probably the fillers. Have you check your adrenals? Sounds like your having trouble raising your dose. How `bout Ferritin, Vit D, Vit B11? All these will play a role in how you use your Thyroid meds. Good luck. Subject: medsTo: Texas_Thyroid_Groups Date: Friday, July 23, 2010, 10:53 AM Hi all,I am not felt good since the Armour change. I tried the newer Armour and it made me plummet on my lab values and felt horrible and gained weight. Then, I went to Nature Throid, one month when I couldn't get it here in Austin, I used compounded and it made me very sick, found some Nature Throid again and I just have never snapped back since Armour changed its formulation. Recently I had to decrease my NT from 1 1/2 gr, then 1 1/4 gr to 1 gr a day due to my labs over the top and palpitations. That was about 2 months ago, the Palps are gone but I ache and hurt all over and feel terrible. However, I do have Hashi and elevated TSI, so Im not your normal hypo patient.
