This meeting lets you tell the governor's office how the DHR restructuring will affect your community. Developmental disabilities, like autism, will no longer be served out of the same department as mental health and addictive diseases. ExceptionalOPS is pleased to announce that the next Governor's Advisory Council (GAC)for MHDDAD Public Forum will be held in Fayette County on Thursday, December 18th from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. This meeting will take place in the large conference room located in the ExceptionalOPS offices at 100 Governors Square, Suite 106-107, Fayetteville, GA 30215. This meeting is hosted by Janet Smola, Executive Director of ExceptionalOPS and & Harriet Steele Region 3 Regional Planning Board MHDDAD Fayette County Representatives. The purpose of the meeting is to gather information from the public concerning the Governor's Health and Human Services Task Force Interim Report about the Restructuring of the Department of Human Resources (DHR). The GAC will offer an overview of the Interim Report and the public will have an opportunity to offer their views about the proposed restructuring of the DHR. The length of time each person may speak will be determined by the number of people in attendance who wish to offer their input.
