Hope each of you, your families, and our members' families have had a wonderful day as well. Louis has had a wonderful day, free of depression and obsessive violent thoughts. His recent evaluations resulted in the addition of Major Depressive Disorder and a measure of psychosis related to his OCD and Social Phobia. Risperdal was added this week to his daily regime of medications and he has experienced heightened intensity of his symptoms since beginning titration of the Risperdal. Today that intensity disappeared and he has been depression and obsession free, the best day a dad could ask for. As always I am thankful for the good days and try to persevere through the bad. Today I was totally thankful. Sometimes I sense on days like today the incredible responsibility and joy that come with parenthood. On days like today I think especially of those who are single parents and must go alone through the journey that my wife, Madelaine, and I share. I want all of our single parents to be aware of my admiration of their persistance and their ability to make it through each day. I know that I would be hard pressed without Madelaine to help. My son Amer has started this medication since one week, I hope it will work with him. He is taking it with the SSRI Fveren. Being a single parent and not being able to hear my children is one of the worst feelings anyone could experience. My surgery date is set for July 1st. Am looking forward to it very much. Hope that you get to spend some time with your children, and if you can not, I hope you get to talk to your children and exchange good energy with them.
