Guest guest
Jo, How is your mother doing? I think about her all the time and I never hear about her. I would like to know how she is doing physically and how much she has lost. How is her diabetes doing? Tell her I asked about her and said Hi. I really like her. Guest guest
Pearl Mom is doing fantastic. She still has a tiny spot that is open, but it should be closed before the end of the week. She had an ultrasound on her leg to check the progress of her Blood clot and it is GONE! Yea! She still has to take blood thinners for a total period of 6 months from onset of the DVT. A couple weeks ago I kept trying to call her and she was never home. She finally returned my call and told me she had been shopping all morning, went out to eat, cleaned the garage, went shopping again, went to Dennys for steak and eggs...I asked her " who put a battery up your butt and turned you on " She laughed and said that she " just felt good " . I'm not sure how many pounds she has lost but she is well into One-derland! A couple days ago she said she weighed 190. Her weightloss is really Visible now and her mobility is taking giant leaps. Mom also asks how you are doing and I give her Pearl updates. Hugs Jo

Guest guest
Pearl Mom is doing FANTASTIC. She is feeling great, Cleaning, shopping, climbing stairs...LIVING. She has even eagerly agreed to go to Florida with my son and his family for a couple weeks and do Disney World. Now imagine...she has never been on an airplane and the thought of all the walking that Vacationing entails and she is looking forward to it! That says a whole lot about how great she is feeling. The Diabetes is being a bit stubborn. She had to go back on one pill (I forget which one). But instead of 10 mg she is taking 2mg. That has been bringing her blood sugars down from around the 200's to below 150 and still dropping. The expectation is that she will get to drop that pill before too long. No insulin... no sudden Highs and Near passing out lows with her blood sugars...she is pretty steady..she is thrilled. The weight-loss??? I don't know, I don't keep track. She is visibly thinner. I don't try to keep track of what the scales say for her, I focus on that beaming smile she has found! Thanks for asking and I'll be sure to tell mom your good news and that you were asking about her. Hugs Jo ================================ > Jo, speaking of your Mom, how is she?
