Guest guest
My son began seeing a private speech therapist sometime last year. I really liked how she was with him but after 4 or 5 weeks she dropped off the face of the earth, after several months I called her and she said certain things had happened and she lost my phone number. She asked me if I wanted her to see him during the summer and I did. She saw him 2 times in june, supposed to be every week then the friday she was supposed to come she tried to call but I had phone issues. As of now I had not heard from her for 3 weeks so I called. She said she felt like he was better suited for outpatient therapy instead of in home therapy. In home is better for him because home is familiar if I thought OP was better he would be going to a OP facility, I feel like she is trying to make excuses for her lack of professionalism. Consistency and structured routine is very important. She had mentioned it was very crazy in my home, but that was one time not all the time. SHe basically said that when school started that she couldnt see him anymore, why is it so hard to find someone who can stick with his therapy, regular weekly therapy, strucuted, consistent therapy? I think its wrong to her to not show up and not call, big deal if I had a phone issue that day, why couldn she call the next day or the day after, you know.....let me know something?Time for vacation?
