Hi Rei,

Probiotics are basically food and you can't really have too

many ...If you are going to make a major change in the amount of

probiotics you give your child you should start off slowly and

increase the dosage over time (we increased rapidly, but all kids are

different).

Our DAN recommends a *miniumum* of 50 billion per day, with no true

upper limit established. VSL#3 capsules have 225 billion strains per

2 caps, and the packets have 475 billion. We use one capsule a night

for now (so 100 billion cfus), and will probably increase to 2 caps

in a short while. VSL #3 is the preferred probiotic of the people on

the Vitamin K list for controlling oxalates.

My son is only 3 1/2 and 47 lbs, and our DAN said even using the

packets of VSL#3 once a night would be fine. So it's really up to

you. Once you implement some of this stuff you can always retest the

microbial portion of the OAT and see how your good bac/ bad bac

program is working.

it clarifys our thought that has been bothering us for years and

years. Yes. My son has a bad, real bad yeast overgrowth. The strange

thing is that my son has never had any GI problems, sleep through

nights ever since he was born, good apepities all the time, but he

has huge OCD, stimming and looks light weighed all the time( he eats

a lot, but can't put on any weighs..)

> So, all of this pedi in his life have never looked into yeast

problem, until I joined this group and learned about so much on yeast

overgrowth and DAN protocals...

wait on other several lab results. During the waiting period, I want

to start to get yeast under control. I need to know what kind

doesages on OLE you will recommend? My son has been on Nutribiotic

GSE and OLE for 2 months, he only takes 250mg GSE per day and 300mg

OLE per day. I dont think it is enough after i read the result. He

has 240 valume on Arabinose ( normal is  below 47), and 0.84 on 3-

Oxglutaric ( normal is below 0.5)...

the lasta 2 months).

share here, how to lower oxalate? ( We already on low oxalate diet)
